Ecstasy walked to the kitchen to grab something to drink.

BAM! Ecstasy’s front door busted open!

“What the hell?” Ecstasy almost jumped out of her skin. “Grandma, you scared me half to death!”

“I thought I told you not to have anybody in my house,” said Grandma Helen. She was heavy set, with brown skin and glasses. She mainly wore church dresses and flower hats. She entered the house, closing the door behind her. “You’re hanging with the wrong crowd. I told you not to mess with these people around here, didn’t I?” she said, one hand on her hip.

“Yeah, Grandma, but I have my own life to live,” she said, grabbing a spring water from the refrigerator.

“Well go live it in your own house then,” said Ms. Hellen.

“How can you say that when I’m the one who got the lights cut on, and I’m the one putting food in the refrigerator? I clean, I cook. I think I deserve a little credit, Grandma.”

Grandma Helen ignored Ecstasy’s comments and headed up the stairs. “Girl, you are not going to raise my blood pressure.”

“So you’re just going to ignore me?” Ecstasy asked.

Ms. Helen paused in her tracks. “I love you dearly, and I will kill them before I let these streets kill you!” she said, heading up the stairs to her room. Ecstasy shook her head in disappointment. “This is going to be a long day.”
